FAQ
About our prints
What type of paper do you use for your standard prints?
Fine Art prints will be done on Hahnemuehle 308 GSM cotton fine-art photo rag which is manufactured in Germany. This paper is a thicker than our standard satin photo paper, uses a different printing process, and is made of mostly cotton. Consequently it is more expensive to procure, however yields incredible results.
Photography prints will be done on 250 GSM satin matte photo paper also manufactured in Germany. This paper is the medium between high gloss and matte paper. It has a slight sheen and light texture, but remains vibrant and resistant to fingerprints.
Will my print come with a frame included?
All our prints come unframed. This helps keep costs and shipping down. Additionally, selecting a frame is just as personal as picking a photo to put in it. This allows you to find a frame that matches you personal aesthetic instead of paying for a stock frame you might not gel with.
What sizes do you offer and can I get a size not listed?
Generally print sizes from 12x18 through 24x36 are available. Depending on your selected print, available sizes will be listed. Available sizes are determined by the aspect ratio of the original photo to minimize any cropping if possible. As much as possible I have selected sizes that are also common frame sizes, this is much more difficult when dealing with the paintings as canvas is rarely standard sizes. If you would like a print in a size other than you see listed I encourage you to contact me and I would be happy to work with you.
What are limited edition prints printed on?
Limited edition prints are all printed on HD Metal. There will already be a hanging method attached to the back of the metal print.
Will prints be edge to edge or have a white border?
I decided to make all prints edge to edge, true to size. This means you can either frame prints as they are, or add a white border and make the overall frame bigger.
How accurate are the pictures on your site to what I will receive?
I have put a lot of time into trying to keep the photos you see on the site as accurate as possible to the print outcome. I never sell a print here until I have done test prints for myself and verified the results are pleasing. However viewing photos on a screen will never be exactly the same as a physical print, and the print outcome may vary slightly depending on your screen.
Shipping, returns, and refunds
How much does shipping cost and is free shipping and option?
I worked really hard to find ways to minimize or eliminate shipping costs for my customers. As of now, orders under a $125 within Canada have a $10 flat rate for shipping. If the order is over $125, there is a $25 flat rate for shipping. International shipping will each have their own related costs applied at checkout and unfortunately do not qualify for free shipping at this time. I am always working towards better shipping costs for you guys and ideally as my shop grows I can partner with different shipping companies to bring down costs.
Why aren’t certain sized prints available internationally?
This is largely due to the high cost of shipping large parcels. When calculating shipping costs on a large format limited edition metal print the cost can be nearly $300 for shipping alone. I am hoping to partner with international print houses in the future to full-fill orders which will bring cost down for shipping, but at this time I am not able to guarantee the quality of the prints from international printers.
How long will it take for me to receive my print?
All prints should arrive within two to three weeks of placing your order. This accounts for time processing your order, printing, and shipping. Most orders arrive sooner, but this is the threshold we try very hard not to exceed.
Unfortunately right now due to Covid some of these times may become longer. However all orders are tracked and you will be contacted and kept in the loop should there be any anticipated delay.
How do you package prints for shipping?
Smaller size prints will be securely packaged in reinforced envelopes while flexible prints larger than 16x20” will be shipped in tubes. These methods keep shipping costs down while still making every effort to have your print arrive undamaged! For Metal prints they will be well packaged in a box to prevent damage.
What happens if my print arrives damaged?
Oh no! Send me an email with a photo of the damage. I will work with you to send a replacement print out at no cost.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like the print or change my mind?
I want you to love the print you receive, and if you are not please reach out. However each print is custom-made to each order, and I cannot offer a refund unless the print arrives damaged or defective.
